January 26, 2011 – Irvine, Calif., – Fisker of Orange County confirms, Fisker Automotive is planning on opening a new headquarters in Anaheim.
The new headquarters will be located in a new office building on East La Palma Avenue in Anaheim and is scheduled to open by the end of March of this year. Fisker recently signed a 10-year lease for the building. The lease is a big jump in space for Fisker, who is currently working out of offices in Irvine. Fisker automaker has about 150 local employees with plans to double in size this year.
“We’re excited that the Fisker brand is continually growing,” said Steve Rudkin, General Manager of Fisker of Orange County. “This move signifies new opportunities for Fisker and the community.”
The building is expected to be used for office, design and exhibit space for Fisker’s much-hyped first car, the Karma sedan. Founders Henrik Fisker and Bernhard Koehler are expected to work from the Anaheim building.
The Karma is expected to start production in March and sell for about $100,000.
